HIT BY A DRUNK DRIVER? CONTACT A CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY

There are many alcohol related car accidents in California and many end in severe injury or death. Many people who drink and drive cause huge accidents because their senses are impaired which causes them to take unnecessary risks while driving. Drunk drivers are often reckless when they drive. Poor judgment can apply to pedestrians who are drunk too. Intoxicated pedestrians often act in a way they would not when they are sober. In a recent accident in Redondo Beach, a pedestrian who was under the influence of alcohol was struck by a car when he stepped into oncoming traffic.

The accident happened around 8 PM on the 2600 block of Artesia Blvd. After he was struck, the pedestrian was transported to a hospital but unfortunately, he was declared dead. Witnesses say that the pedestrian waited in the center median if he should cross the street or not. Unfortunately, the pedestrian went and was struck by an incoming car. The outcome might have been different if the pedestrian was not under the influence of alcohol.
