INJURED BY A TEXTING DRIVER? CONSULT A LOS ANGELES INJURY LAWYER

Driving is an activity that comes with many responsibilities. Every driver should only be paying attention to the road; however, not all drivers pay attention to the road when they are driving. Some are talking on their cell phones while others might even text message while they are driving. Text messaging while driving is an extremely dangerous act because the driver’s eyes are looking at the cell phone screen and not on the road. By the time they look up to see the road, it might be unavoidable to get into an accident. In a recent event, a man who struck a boy while allegedly sending text messages was indicted.

The accident happened last year in Huntington Beach. The motorist was allegedly sending text messages on his cell phone when his pick up truck swerved across several lanes and struck the boy. The boy was on a bicycle and flew about 150 feet before he died of his injuries.
