CHILDREN DIE IN ACCIDENTS ON RIDES. CALIFORNIA AMUSEMENT PARK INJURY LAWYERS ARE HERE FOR YOU.

California amusement parks, such as Disneyland, as well as fairs and festivals are fun for the whole family. But sadly, accidents at parks can have serious and deadly consequences, particularly for children. Rides can be dangerous due to faulty engineering, poorly followed safety procedure, operator error or product defect. Many parks cater specifically to children of all ages, and accidents at these locations can harm young victims. Two separate instances of child death at amusement parks made news this week. An Orange County boy has died more than eight years after he was seriously injured on the Roger Rabbit ride at Disneyland. The child was placed in a medical induced coma after he fell off the ride and became trapped under the mechanism. His family reached a settlement with Disney two years after the accident. In another event, a 16-year old girl died after falling 50 feet off a giant swing. Neither the victim’s harness nor safety rope was properly attached. Now, a year later, a settlement has been reached between her family and the insurance company covering the festival where the fatal accident occurred.
