Boyle Heights was the site of a recent street racing crash. Two men were racing on the 60 (Pomona) Freeway at 4 a.m. Sunday morning when one of them lost control. The speeding cars then spun out of control hitting five cars and an SUV. One of the racing vehicles caught on fire, trapping the driver inside. He was last reported in critical condition. Innocent victims in the struck cars assisted in extinguishing the fire and attempting to free the racer.
