DANGEROUS JARDINE CRIBS RECALLED. CALL PRODUCT LIABILITY LAWYERS OF ORANGE COUNTY NOW.
Even with all of the test and standards required for children’s products today, items are still sold that contain hazards for the young. In earlier blogs, we recounted how children’s jewelry was being sold that not only contained lead but also was falsely labeled as being lead-free. Now cribs are being recalled voluntarily by their manufacturer as the beds were discovered to posed potential strangulation and entrapment dangers. The crib recall is for Jardine cribs, and if your child has already been hurt, call 1-800-ALAWPRO for California legal advice immediately.
Jardine recalled 320,000 cribs last June and more than 56,000 this January. Now the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the voluntary recall of more than 95,000 more cribs. The problem is that the wooden slats on the cribs are breakable, which can create a gap possibly leading to a baby’s getting trapped or suffocated. Stores including Toys “R” Us, Babies “R” Us, and KidsWorld carried the Jardine cribs.
