While the family of the employee that was killed when shoppers charged a Walmart store last November has filed a civil suit against his employer, the District Attorney of New York has reached an agreement with the retail giant which will prevent criminal charges from being filed. The settlement requires Wal-Mart to improve Black Friday crowd control, arrange for 50 jobs for local high schoolers each year, and create a $400,000 compensation fund for victims.
