An 11-year-old boy was pulled from a community pool in Porter Ranch, CA after he was discovered floating face down. Thankfully bystanders successfully performed CPR, and the boy was airlifted to the hospital in serious condition. Apparently the child, who was wearing a life vest, was left unattended momentarily – but long enough for him to stop breathing and nearly drown. No other information about the safety standards of the community pool was given.
